Art, Passion and Heart-Told Tales & FREEBIE!

My witch friend Magaly, had this wonderful idea: "I’m inviting you to use your Art and Passion to share the Tale of how you met the other half of your heart".

 You know that during the last two weeks I've been working a lot and I haven't been able to draw... So, today, for the  ART, PASSION AND HEART-TOLD TALES I'll share with you how I met my hubby. :)

Well, it would be more appropriate to say "how I re-met him".

The story begins 34 years ago, when young Simo was 10 years old. Her mom was a teacher and had a very bad student. She eventually had that student changed of classroom, but the school director put him in Simo's class. Her mom was afraid of retaliations, so asked that they put Simo in another classroom. That day was very decisive for Simo's life. In the new classroom she met her 15 years long best friend (not anymore, now) and the love of her life: M.

This one was a beautiful boy with dark hair and green eyes. As you can imagine, at 10 years old, relationships are very relative. So the two matched togehter for some months, until the end of 5th grade, when he met another girl and left Simo...... Grrrr....

The End...... ?

Simo grew up. Had other boyfriends and had a 10 years long relationship with her first "husband" (they were not really married). In 2000 the relationship came to an end and Simo went back living in her former town. She also worked in that town, in a New Age and Handicraft Shop. One of the owner's sons was a close friend of M and they often came for a visit. 

That year, in December, they started dating. The next year they went to live together and in 2002 they got married.

This year we had our 10 years anniversary. I cannot honestly say that our relationship has been fairy tale like. We had lots of troubles and issues during the years (he is not an easy person, and I'm not easy to deal with, too), but we still stick together.

I'm still on double shift at work. It's a 2 weeks non-stop, as I've been working the weekend, too. I'm a little tired and the weather doesn't help. Summer is roaring out loud!

 Today I woke up early to post a new face I made a couple of weeks ago, just not to lose my habit. Eheheh!

On the weekend everything will be back to normality, and I'll go back to my drawings and projects!

I have been looking around the community and met some very inspiring ladies. 

In my prevous post I wrote that I needed a change.

Well, being this the first post of my renewal time I want to share with you my new list of "things to do to brighten your day". 

WHAT DO YOU DO TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY?

I made this list and will try to stick to it as hard as I can.

Deep in my heart I'm a loner. I'm kind of bipolar and don't like physical contact much. And I'm also a BIG paranoid and pessimist. But I also like laughing, learning and talking to other people.

What do I need to feel better and start thinking like a Goddess? 

I need to think positive. I know it may sound like New Age Stuff, but I've  come to realize that it's so simple and so true. If you think positive then you'll see lots of good things and opportunities around you.

This week I will follow my to do list.

Changes

I have been thinking of it for some months now and now it's time.

I've been blogging about my works, selling on Etsy, knowing many wonderful people and artists, but I have also been leaving my real life float in a sea of habits and routine.

Now

IT'S TIME TO CHANGE!

No, I'm not closing my blog and leave all my friends.

I need to make changes in real life and in the web one, too.

I want to live a better life.

I want to improve my art.

I want to seriously start selling my art.

I want to rediscover my spiritual gifts.

I want to share more with you.

I want to have fun doing all those things.

But to do that I need to learn. "LEARN" was my 2012 word, do you remember? 

I've been attending art e-courses and learned so much.

But I realized that making art for sale without knowing the basics of Internet Marketing leads to nothing. 

Last year I first saw an ad about a Goddess Circle run by a sweet lady called Leonie. 

She was promoting it with these words: "The Goddess Circle gives you an incredible resource library of my programs, courses + workbooks to help you transform every area of your life... from home, health, creativity, soul to business."

 I've been keeping track of that website and then decided to subscribe to the newsletter.

Yesterday I made my decision: I signed in for the Goddess Circle and today I'm starting my first Biz Goddess E-Course! I've devoured the ebook and cannot wait to view the videos!  I know it will be helpful and I needed to share with you.

Summer.....

Summer is here.... and with high temperatures and humidity.... The tube either has no air conditioning or AC is freezing cold... so that people get colds... The sun  is burning and I need double sunglasses... I'm already looking for Autumn. Eheheeh!!! Moreover, next week I'll have to do double shift at work, as the "night girl" is going on holiday... but anyway it's good for my pocket, because my husband is still working two or three days a month. Crisis here in Italy is really bad.

Ok. Stop complaining now! Let's see some art!

Summer of Color 2012

My first entry for  THE SUMMER OF COLOR 2012.

We had to use Reinbow Sherbet as inspiration: bold oranges, pinks, yellows and a touch of white.

The theme of this week at THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT is 

BOOKS.

My dad has decided to take the challenge, too, because he finds easier to draw having a theme to follow (unlike me... eheheh).

 The first one is mine and the second is my dad's (for those who still don't know our styles... yuk!)

Summer is coming

June has begun and Summer is approaching. And, as every year, I'm entering my "down-period". I don't like hot weather and the sun. I'm a Fall/Winter girl who loves clouds and the night. :)

So, these are my projects for the hot Summer awaiting me (this year I have 1 month free from work, and I will stay home because we cannot afford going on holiday):

1) in a few days I'm closing for holidays my etsy shop and start working on some new items for September. 

2) make canvases for my ZEN DOLLS PROJECT (click for info)

3) catch up the two e-courses I'm following: LIFEBOOK and COTTON CANDY GIRLS

4) join THE SUMMER OF COLOR 2012 Challenge

5) start my first diet program ever! As some of you already know I suffer from Endometriosis (among the other things... eheheh). Two years ago I had urgent surgery because I was at last level of endometriosis. Then I had to start a hormonal cure that, in two years, brought me to weigh 20 kilos more. Althought people don't notice it, because I'm very good at disguising, I notice it every time I see myself in the mirror.... Those 20 kilos more have a bad effect on my back problems and I'm starting to feel more depressed and tired than ever. So I decided to try a simple diet which includes a lot of walking, too. Wish me good luck! :)

6) draw... draw... draw... and visit all my artist friends! And read a lot, too!

Today I have to go to work early, because the catholic pope is coming to Milan and the whole city is filled with police, tourists, worshippers and everything else. It's going to be a big mess.... There's going to be security for the underground and trains and the weather is already hot....
