Small Ones

We are at the end of August! WOW

My holiday is coming to an end, too, but I'm happy because the weather is cooling and Fall is only 21 days far away!

I had many goals to reach in August, but I've been distracted by new ideas and family trouble (my aunt is at the hospital again, with bronchopneumonia.... sigh).

I haven't finished my "secret project", yet.

I haven't finished the Zend Dolls project, yet.

I haven't finished to clean the garage, yet (BUT I have been able to fix the whole house).

Anyway, I have been writing a lot on my notebook, drawing some new Goddesses, reading and enjoying laziness. :) I really needed some rest.

I have also reopened my ETSY SHOP: a new name (Timeless Rituals) and some new items. I'll be adding some more in a few days.

Now I'm working on a smaller version of the Goddess Messages. I have tried ACEO size, but it's too small for all the details. So I tried POSTCARD size, and I think it's better.

Beauty is Everywhere

We should be at the end of this HOT weather... During the last 2 weeks I've been waking up at 4 am and doing housework until 9 or 10 am. After that hour it's impossible to do anything without sweating like a pig (as we say in Italian). Even drawing is an effort....

Yesterday I was informed that my injured aunt has got fever. My parents (who are 78 and 76) have been staying at her house  for a month now, and I think they will stay another one.... I know they are very tired, because the situation is not easy. But they don't want me to go there. And I don't know how to help them. There is nothing to do. You only have to keep an eye on her and go to checkups with her... I'm really sad. 

I can only send positive and healing energies to them and hope everything goes back to normal asap.

Too Hot....

It's too hot even to switch on the PC lately... 

This week we are hitting 38 - 40 Celsius Degrees with the last(I hope) anticyclone called "Lucifer". What a creepy idea to call these anticyclones with disturbing mythological names: Minos, Charon, Lucifer.... Just to bring anxiety to people..

Waiting for lower temperatures I sit quietly on my sofa and draw, taking some quick showers avery now and then and wishing I were at my sister's in Argentina. It's Winter there. :))

Messages from the Goddess

You'll think I'm a little obsessed and boring with all this Goddess stuff. 

It is something that has been with me during all my life. I'm not religious even if my mom has a degree in Theology. I've always tried to stay away from organized religions. I usually talk about Spirituality rather than religion, because spirituality is universal. I do not believe in a god/goddess as the creator of the Universe and guide of all humanity. I do believe in Nature, the only Goddess I can experiment and commune with every day, the one that gives us life and receives us back when we die.

I've always been drawn to mythology and ancient spiritual paths. I'm a fan of Celtic and Norse Myths as well as Aboriginal ones, and many of my favorite books talk about The Great Mother and Goddesses. My Celtic nickname is Arianrhod, a Celtic Welsh Goddess. 

I think it was no coincidence that when I started drawing and doodling my first works were Goddesses.... And recently I have subscribed to a group called GODDESS CIRCLE and really started to think that  

I AM A GODDESS! 

I can do anything. I can CREATE something.

CREATION is the word usually associated to the Goddess.

I'm finally creating my life, ripping off my old skin and being reborn to a new life of opportunities and wishes.

My meditations have become clearer and my drawings more inspired. I'm making shamanic journeys almost everyday and connect to the Goddess in me. 

Today I want to share with you a couple of new drawings that I call "MESSAGES FROM THE GODDESS", because they are part of my conversations with my inner Goddess.

More Goddesses

Thank you everyone for your words of support! Luckily, my aunt doesn't have to undergo surgery and will be back home in a few days. Phew! 

I have asked my Tarots and I Ching about this, and they both tell me that she will slowly get better.

This week I have been enjoying my holiday. I know I want to make lots of things during this month, but I know I am an awful lazy procrastinator! :) Next week I'm going to write down a list and stick to it! 

Anyway, I have been drawing a bit by night while watching TV. Well, I don't really watch TV. It just helps me sit down on the sofa and draw. I know it's a strange kind of focusing method, but I'll tell you that when I was in school I used to study while listening to AC/DC. Ehehehe!!

As Carol wrote in a comment to my previous post "bad luck things usually come in three". The third one happened two days ago. I have an aunt that lives some 600 kms far from me. She suffers from Alzheimer and lives with a Polish lady who takes care of her 24/7. Last week my aunt had ischemia and the doctors recommended her to stay in bed. Two days ago her carer got distracted.... my aunt got up from bed, opened the door of her house and fell from the stairs breaking one leg... She is now at the hospital waiting for surgery. My parents will leave tomorrow to visit her and stay at the hospital for the nights.

Is there any MESSAGE in this? 

I keep asking myself if these coincidences (or should I call them SYNCHRONICITIES?) hide a secret message from the Universe/Goddess/Angels/Spiritual Guides. If so, I cannot understand it right now...

Tonight I'll ask my Tarots and I Ching for a guide.

Please, my friends, send some HEALING ENERGY and POSITIVITY to all the injured people in my family and friends.

I am sending mine.

I have not been able to make much art since I started my holidays. I'm trying to deeply clean my house and fix up all my books, comics, art supplies and all the stuff I amass everywhere. I'm a notorious "pile-upper", for the joy of my husband. Eheheheh!!
I have only drawn some more Motivational Goddesses and cut them out.
My plans for my artistic holiday have undergone some subtle changes, but I'm determined to complete my "secret project" and some more Zen Dolls.
I'll keep you updated in a couple of days!

Officially on Holiday! & Third Finished Piece

I'M ON HOLIDAY FOR A WHOLE MONTH! YAY!

This year I'm not going to Argentina or anywhere else. I'll stay at home, with daily 35 degrees Celsius (argh...) and my colors. Today I purchased 8 canvases for the ZEN DOLLS PROJECT and have everything ready for all the thousands things I want to do.
I have just a complaint: the last week before summer holidays is going to be remembered as an unlucky week  for my family and friends.
"What happened", you'll ask.
Well:
1) last year, on August 4th, my husband fell from a ladder and broke one arm and his nose.
2) This year, on July 31st, my boss had an accident with his motorbike: he has a broken rib and got a bad stroke to one of his lungs.
3) This year, on July 30th, my brother-in-law was riding his bike and got bumped by a car. Now he is awaiting to know if his shoulder needs surgery.....
Not a good week, indeed...
But, anyway, they are still here to tell their stories. :)
Do you think the Universe is trying to give us some kind of message?

Second Finished Drawing

It's 5.30 AM. I cannot sleep because of the hot weather. In half an hour I'll have to get ready for work. I have to go early because yesterday my boss had an accident with his motorbike and broke a rib. So, here I am, posting my second meditation inspired drawing.
