Back with Crutches

Two weeks since my last post! Awww!!
I had to deal with my hurting foot (I'm now walking on crutches). On Saturday I'm going to have it X-rayed and see what's wrong with it. I could not stay at home from work, so when I came home I wasn't in the mood of blogging. :)
But I have been drawing, anyway. Eheheh!
Here are some of my new pieces.
Next week I'll try to post more often.

New coffee tickets for my workplace.

A coulpe of new owls.

And two gifts for a friend.

Baby Owl

A new postcard owl.
These are made with Fabriano postcard sheets (6x4 in. and 300 gsm).
They are made to be used with wayercolors, but I find that colored pencils work well, too.

Well..... Owls?

I'm really happy with my new owls.
On Friday I sold four of them. For the first time I sold my drawings outside Etsy! Yay!
Actually I sold them at work. :)
And I've got some orders, too!
That's incredible!!

Yesterday I started drawing some new ones and put down a sketch for a triptych on canvas for a friend.
I have also made an owl postcard that I put on sale on Etsy.

I'm very excited about these sales.
Going back to work now!

Bliss Ink Project

Yesterday I told you about this project I am involved in.

It is called

BLISS INK

and you can find it at https://www.facebook.com/BlissInk .

In a few words:
- make a piece of art (any medium, but preferably small)
- write on the back (or put inside it, or pin to it) the info that you'll find at the bottom of this post
- leave your artwork in a public place after having taken a pic of it in situ.
- post your pic together with date and place on the Bliss Ink Facebook Page
- wait for someone popping out and write that he/she found it!

For more info, visit the Bliss Ink Facebook Page.

Here are my FIRST Bliss Ink Bomb and a pic of what you can write on its back.
I left it in a bookstore in Milan, Italy. :))

ATC. Colored pencils and ink.

Come join us!!!

Got Owls?

During the last days I have been sketching owls for a commissioned work.
And I got caught into my usual obsession.... :)
So, prepare to view bunches of owls this month!

I'm also drawing some small ones for a nice project I'm involved in. I'll tell you about it in my next post.

Green Dream & M.A.N.

I like this one very much. Love her face and her hair.

And now let me introduce you my friend Stefania from COLLECTIBLE PAPER DOLLS.
Stefania is a great artist, and recently had her amazing paper sculptures showed at MAN (Museo d'Arte provincia di Nuoro), in beautiful Sardinia.
The show is called MITI E FIABE (Myths & Fairytales) and it's really worth a visit.
Here is one of Stef's magical works:

Just Be Who You Are & Pizza Rolls!

My second favorite month has started!
We have gone from Summer to Winter in one night here in North Italy. Where has Autumn gone?!?!!?
Yesterday was also my first of four days of vacation!
I have been busy drawing, cooking (what? me?!) and making Greek yogurt.
As I wrote in another post, me and my hubby are not in avery good situation, lately. He is working a few days each month and I earn a very low pay.
BUT luckily we don't have a loan or a rent to pay, because our house has already been paid (phew!).
BUT, still, how can we afford paying the bills, insurances and food with only my pay?
Well, we have started making things by ourselves:
We eat at home.
We make gnocchi, muffins, soups, yogurt, bread... (it takes time, but at least I'm learning something about cooking.. ehehe!).
We make our own cleaning stuff.
My husband has cut in half his cigarettes smoking.  (yeah!)
We began 2 weeks ago, and I can see that we are saving some money when we go for the grocery shopping.
Of course, I have had to low down my books purchasing... But, anyway, I have tons of books, and some of them are worth a double reading! :)

Well, back to my drawings now.
This is the finished Catwoman piece.
Do you like it?

And for those of you who like cooking, here are some pics of my Pizza Roll (I found the recipe somewhere, but I don't remember the link now).
I used pizza base, butter, red onion, zucchini and cheese.
