Thank you for Your Support!

Last week of work before holidays!!

First of all I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the wonderful souls who emotionally supported me during the last week, both on blog/facebook and with private messages.
Your words had the power of making me feel good and positive and I was able to reflect those feelings on my hubby.
He is definitely better now. In September we will go to the doctor and see how he's going.
He also thanks you all for your support!! :)

The hottest time of Summer has burst out here in North Italy. We are reaching 40° Celsius almost everyday, and without A/C our house is a oven.... So we spent our evenings and weekend on the sofa with our fan and watched movies. And I have also made some new drawings.

Here are some.

Have a great week and thank you again!!

I had some background sheets made with Dylusions Spray Inks.
The mandala and dreamcatcher have been made using black ink and colored pencils.

Positivity Needed!

Despite my daily efforts for finding balance and  positivity, sometimes Life strikes you in the back.
Last week has been very tough.
On Monday I had to take my hubby to the E.R., because he woke up in a spin. He could not make a clear speech and kept staring at the walls...
The doctors diagnosed a sort of depression caused by anxiety and stress (it's not the first time that this happens, but this time it was worse).
Hubby hasn't been working for months. Now he has some small jobs, but he feels very useless and depressed...
I took him to the E.R. because I wanted to be sure that he hadn't anything in his brain. The CAT revealed nothing... phew...
He is now taking some pills and feeling better. I hope he is going to be good for August, because I have to leave for Spain for three weeks. I'm still in doubt wether to go or not.....

Sorry for this outburst, but I need to let off steam. :)

So, last week we have been very quiet at home, watching movies. And I have made some new sketches on my Moleskine.

Watercolors and ink.

Collage.

Watercolor and ink.

Zentangle page using HUGGINS variations.

Have a great week!!

Mandala/Zendala Art Again!

You already know that when I start something new I get instantly obsessed by it,  and start making tons of similar drawings.
I have made some new Zendalas/Mandalas.

This one is not properly a mandala. I made it for a friend.

All on Moleskine.

Have a great Sunday!!

I am also back to Mandalas/Zendalas.

Making a Tangle Mandala: Hugging Trees

Yesterday I was playing with some tangle patterns and shapes. I wanted to use my TREE-THREE tangle for a mandala-style drawing.
I have made some "how-to" photos to show you how I work. I like freehand doodling, so I used compasses only to draw the first circle .

This is a first sketch I made on my Moleskine journal.

The beginning: drawing the round shape and adding my tangle. I have made some colored background pages using spray inks.

Adding some more circles inside.

Starting to doodle from the center.

The finished piece before adding depth.

I used some colored and charcoal pencils to add color and give depth to the mandala

I called it HUGGIN TREES.

Have a great week!!
