Before Surgery...

Helloooo!!

This is going to be my last post before surgery!

Yes! On Thursday my life will change forever.

I guess I'll be at the hospital for less than a week.

I'm leaving you with a couple of journal pages.

The challenge at SCRAPPIN' SISTERS was to create a journal page about your favorite group/singer/actor/actress.

I chose QUEEN. The best band of all times, for me. :)

For JOURNAL52 the theme was "you make me smile"

Ah ah! :)

I have also added some Valentines and Easter printables to my ETSY SHOP.

Some Challenges: Journal52, Fat Round Journal and Whimsy Challenge

One of my goals for this year, along with reopening my ETSY SHOP and posting often, is to keep up with some art challenges.

I have already talked to you about SCRAPPIN' SISTERS and JOURNAL52.
These are my last pages for them:

The themes were: Somewhere, a Simple Place and Dreams are Wishes.
Fat Round Journal is a private FB group of Italian girls from Scrappin' Sisters. We are making monthly themed pieces. After 12 months we will send our creations to our admin, who will create mixed journals to be sent out to each one of the participants. :)

The other challenge is very cute.
It is called WHIMSY CHALLENGE 2014.
Each week we have to draw a themed whimsical lady.
Pepi, the Admin, is a very talented artist. Visit her website for lots of videos, amazing tarot cards and a fantastic magazine! (You can find the link to her website on the right side of my blog.)
Here are my first four Whimsies:

I decided to make them as ATCs and put them into my Doodle Moleskine.

Etsy Shop: New Opening!

I did it!

My Etsy shop is open again! :)

I changed its name and it is now called

KAI-ZEN DOODLES

January is the Month!

Hellooooo!!!

Been away from my blog again. But not from the web.

Many things have happened since my last post in December.

I had two surprises:

1) My sister and nephews came unexpectedly home for the holidays!We had a great time together.

2) I was asked by Melania, the admin of the Italian blog SCRAPPIN' SISTERS, to join their group and be a Guest Designer for 2014! I will create some tutorials for them. They will be written in Italian AND English, so that my international friends can read them, too. :) The first one will be posted in February. On Scrappin' Sisters we have monthly challenges. Check them out!

But these are not the only nice things that happened.
Last week I went for a check up after three months of therapy. You know what? They scheduled my surgery for January 30th!!!! YAY!
I am so happy about it. And so nervous.
The purpose of this surgery is to get rid of a big part of pain.
I have been living with it for more than 20 years and things are not getting better.
I think it is a good startpoint for my new life.

Then, I decided to challenge myself: my friend Mara gave me a small Moleskine Agenda, and I used it to doodle one page a day. I am already behind... eheheh! But I will catch up when I go to the hospital. I'm going to have a lot of spare time.

As I'm unemployed now, I cannot afford buying online classes this year.
But you know that word called COINCIDENCE? I found this nice website called ARTJOURNALIST and read about their 
Journal52: A Free Year-Long Art Journal Workshop

This is my week1 page. the theme is "Up, up and away".

I'm closing this huge post with some new pieces I made for my Etsy Shop. I'm going to reopen next week! :)
